Steve was born in Bozeman and raised primarily in Butte, MT, graduating from Butte Central Catholic High School. He then attended the University of Montana in Missoula, where he earned his degree and—more importantly—met his wife, Belinda. After graduation, they returned to Bozeman to begin their careers, Steve as a teacher and Belinda as a pharmacist.
Steve retired from teaching in 2022 and pursued his passion for helping others by earning his Master of Social Work from Carroll College in 2024. A 2025 Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) graduate, he now serves Catholic Social Services of Montana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Candidate (SWLC) while volunteering as a first responder in the Bozeman area.
Steve and Belinda have four children and enjoy spending time with their extended families and serving the Church.
