Dear Expectant Parent(s) & Parent Letters

Dear Expectant Parent(s) & Parent Letters

The following are examples of couples who are waiting to build their families through adoption.  They have all been through an extensive screening process but this list does not include all of the families we work with.  If you would like to choose a family, we provide a much more detailed portfolio to aid you in an informed and educated decision.  Please contact us at 1-800-BABY-DUE.

Dear Expectant Parent,

Life doesn’t always go the way we thought or would have planned it, does it? We thought we had things all planned out, but God had different ideas for our family! The process of adoption has been a long and hard experience for us in many ways, but we have faith that God is using this experience to bring us closer together and closer to Him. We are delighted that you have decided to read our letter so that you can get to know who we are a little better!

Dear Expectant Parent(s),

As we sit here writing this letter we imagine that you must feel a little like Shrek.  The specific scene that comes to mind is when Shrek is getting ready to go talk to the bad dude prince and is looking for a guide out of all the fairy tale creatures.  The donkey is jumping up and down saying “PICK ME…PICK ME!  Ooooh PICK ME!”  If that isn’t annoying enough, try leaving the DVD on all night while that phrase continually loops on the MENU page.  Needless to say, Lise does not allow Joseph to watch Shrek on the bedroom TV anymore.

Dear Expectant Parent(s),
Words cannot express how honored and humbled we are that you are considering us for the adoption of your child. Nor, can we begin to understand what is going through your mind and heart right now. We imagine that there are many emotions floating around and all bombarding you at different times. This is such a hard decision and we admire your love, selflessness, and courage for looking at adoption and for looking at us as potential parents to your child.

Dear Expectant Parent(s),

Thank you for considering your choices. We have yet to meet, but we admire your bravery in deciding to give birth to your child and make an adoption plan. We cannot fully understand how hard this decision will be or how you are feeling at this moment. We will tell you our story and maybe that will help you in making your choice. Please know that no matter what you choose, we wish you, your child, and your families all the best. We are Michael, Erin, and Francis and we thank you for taking the time to learn more about our family.

Dear Expectant Parents,

We know that we haven’t met you yet, but you have been on our hearts, minds, and prayers ever since we turned to the path of open adoption. We are honored and grateful you have chosen to read our letter and to get to know us a little more. We will never understand that which you are going through or the challenges you face; however, the two of us would be blessed to walk alongside you on this journey. If you do choose to make an adoption plan then we cannot wait to meet you and your little one.

Dear Expectant Parent,

We’ve thought a lot about this letter. How do we begin? What do we say to a person we don’t yet know who is facing a decision like the one you are currently facing? Unfortunately, we don’t have the answers to those questions, but we hope this letter gives you a glimpse into our lives, so that we won’t seem like complete strangers if you choose to go forward with an adoption and decide to meet us.

Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to introduce ourselves and to tell you about us.
We are Nick, Sarah and Elizabeth. We hope this letter will give you a glimpse into our life and
home. These are the four most important things you should know about us:
 Family means everything to us (and you don’t have to be biologically related to be a family).
 We think laughter is the best medicine.
 We love to travel and have adventures.
 We can’t wait to welcome another child to our family!

Dear Expectant Parent,

We are greatly honored that you are reading our story and considering us to parent your child.  We admire your bravery and strength as you make this unbelievably hard decision. We have imagined you and your baby and pray for you every day, even though we have yet to meet you. God blessed us with two amazing children.  Both pregnancies were very difficult and high risk due to Endometriosis and a rare blood disorder. Two months after our son was born Michaela had to have a hysterectomy.  It was crushing and took a lot of prayer and love to be at peace with the reality of infertility.
